What is Codefest Nigeria Hackathon?

Codefest Nigeria is the nation’s premier hackathon —bringing together developers, designers, scientists, and tech enthusiasts from across the globe to solve real-world challenges using innovative technology. The first edition was held in 2018.

In an era shaped by the fourth industrial revolution, it’s vital to equip young minds with 21st-century skills like innovation, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership. Codefest International, a leading Nigerian EdTech company, is at the forefront of this movement. With a legacy dating back to 2018, we have hosted events in major cities and returned with renewed vigor in 2024 after the pandemic pause.

In 2025, we aim to break records with 5000+ participants and two powerful events — a national online hackathon and a physical expo. With stakeholders from universities, tech hubs, NYSC members, 3MTT-ALCs, corporates, and startups, we are creating Nigeria’s largest innovation-driven gathering.black

• To join the hackathon, you must be part of a team.
• Team size: minimum 2, maximum 6 members.
• ❗ This hackathon is not for commercially available solutions. Instead, bring new ideas or solutions related to the official themes & challenges. 👉 Focus on innovation and learning!
